Study Room

Everyone is welcome to come into the Resource Centre to access the Internet whether you want to surf the net, e-mail friends and family, source specific information or have a look at training and employment opportunities on the World Wide Web. Why not drop in and do your shopping on-line?

Want to get rid of that unwanted item? Sell it on eBay™ - we'll show you how.

You can also help improve community safety by accessing the Safelinks.info website.

Located within the Study Room we have a number of computers that are available for casual drop-in use. Trained staff can assist in all aspects of the Internet such as sending and receiving of e-mail, including setting up hotmail accounts. The room is currently available Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. Anyone needing access to the Internet outside these hours should ring 01472 874301 and we will do our best to arrange it for you.

Training Room

The training room is equipped with 12 computers, printer and scanner. Accredited training is provided by Community Learning Service. Mrs Gaiger says:
I want to learn about the internet and open an e-mail account so I can e-mail my family in Australia. I could only turn on a computer, I find it fascinating, easy one to one sessions, have learnt more than I expected, look forward to each session.
Rob say:
Enjoy coming into the Study Room to access my e-mail and research for jobs. Have done a few courses on the computer, First Time On-Line, and Football Basics which progressed me on to First Steps into Sport Leadership. I now run junior sport sessions on the Sports Pitch at the Resource Centre.
Paul says:
Didn't know anything about computers, came into the Study Room and got really into into the internet and e-mail. Looked for a job on Job Search and got help with my CV. On the fun side learnt how to buy on eBay, can now buy and sell and earn myself some extra cash. Secured a full-time and have now purchased my own computer.
